Church Street Intersection Realignment

Information

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Fort Bend County Engineering held a preconstruction meeting for the Church Street Intersection realignment. This project was approved by voters as a part of the 2020 Fort Bend County Mobility Bonds. The total project budget is $750,000 with a projected cost of $703,835.60, according to the FBC Mobility Bond website.

The project start is planned for October 2, 2024 with a construction time of 6 months. During this time Colony Street will be closed in the northbound direction and Church Street will be open until the time that closure is needed to make the permanent connection. Detours will be put in place at different times of construction, and we will make everyone aware of that when the time comes. We have asked the county for contact information and project details that can be posted to the website as well as a link to the mobility program website. Staff will continue to stay in touch with the county so we can share details with the residents in a timely manner.
