The Development Corporation of Needville (DCN) is a board of appointed members chosen to oversee the economic growth and prosperity of the very city we're proud to call home. We are local business owners who strive to make the success of your business our business.

  • How We Started

    State law affords Texas cities the ability to create Economic Development Corporations. In 1996 the citizens of Needville approved the establishment of such a corporation and the levy of a ½ % sales tax as a funding source for the Development Corporation of Needville.

  • Our Purpose

    The Development Corporation of Needville’s mission is to enhance the economic well being of the City of Needville and its citizens.

  • Organization

    The affairs of the Corporation are administered by a seven-member Board of Directors who are appointed by City Council. Directors serve a two-year term and may be reappointed to their positions on the Board.

  • Types of Projects We Work On

    1. Community Development to enhance Needville’s quality of life


    2. Assistance with business establishment and relocations


    3. Local business support


    4. Tourist development


    5. Infrastructure related to economic development
